The Arai GP-J3 is an FIA 8859-2015 approved open-face helmet for closed-cockpit racing. It has a PB-cLc composite shell, extended cheek and jawline coverage, four shell air channels, an adjustable sun peak with a removable anti-glare strip, and factory-fitted M6 terminals for FHR / HANS® clips. It suits saloon, GT and historic racing.

Shell and protection
The PB-cLc shell is built with peripheral reinforcement belts and composite laminates, giving a strong shell that stays light, which helps reduce neck fatigue over long stints. Deeper lower side profiles extend forward to protect the jawline and cheekbones, while keeping the wide peripheral vision of an open-face helmet.
Ventilation
Four air channels built into the shell draw fresh air into the cockpit and vent heat in hot race conditions.
Peak and visibility
The adjustable overhead peak has a removable anti-glare sun strip to cut glare from low sunlight.
Interior and fit
The interior is fully fire-retardant. The modular cheek pads come out for cleaning or can be swapped to tailor the fit. Arai shells have a slightly rounder head shape, so if you're coming from another brand, check the Arai size chart for the fit.
FHR / HANS® compatibility
The GP-J3 comes with M6 terminals already fitted in the shell, ready for your FHR / HANS® clips. The clips are sold separately. See our FHR / HANS devices, helmet visors and accessories and custom FIA race suits to complete your setup.

Yes. It's homologated to FIA 8859-2015 and carries Snell SA approval.
Does it come with HANS® clips fitted?
No. The M6 terminals are fitted in the shell, but you add your own FHR / HANS® clips, which are sold separately.
Is it an open-face or full-face helmet?
Open-face, with extended cheek and jawline coverage.
Can I fit an intercom?
