Arai SKV-R Karting Helmet – FIA 8878-2024 & Snell K2025

The Arai SKV-R is a dedicated karting helmet homologated to FIA 8878-2024 and Snell K2025. It shares its design philosophy and protection development with the GPV-R, with a shell shaped for improved glancing-off performance, a lower visor pivot that adds 8mm of forward visibility, a centre visor lock and an odour-resistant system liner. It is not FHR compatible. It launched in the UK exclusively on the Race Rally Supplies stand at Race Retro.

Shell and protection

The SKV-R is built on the same design philosophy and protection technology as the GPV-R, adapted for karting. The shell shape is designed to improve glancing-off performance and driver protection.

Visibility and visor

The lower visor pivot point creates a smoother, rounder upper shell and adds 8mm of forward visibility, so you can see more of the track ahead. The centre visor lock closes the visor securely and simply.

Interior and fit

The odour-resistant system liner has adjustable foam pads on either side, so you can fine-tune the fit. The cheek pads are microphone-ready for communications equipment, and the removable centre pad lets you configure the helmet for different hydration systems.

FHR compatibility
