The Fire Extinguisher Plumbed-In Nozzle Mounting Bracket is a rugged, fabricator-friendly hardware solution designed to provide a rock-solid anchorage point for your fire suppression system's spray heads. In a violent motorsport impact or high-vibration stage environment, insecurely mounted nozzles can easily twist, bend, or shake out of alignment, misdirecting the critical spray of suppressant away from the fire source. This universal tab bracket eliminates that risk, locking your plumbing nozzles firmly into their pre-determined safety alignment.
Stamped from premium-grade mild steel and treated with a high-durability zinc-plated finish, this bracket offers exceptional resistance to corrosion, moisture, and track debris. Engineered with a clean slate layout, the tab can be easily folded in a bench vice or drilled out to adapt seamlessly to roll cage tubes, structural dash bars, or intricate engine bay bulkheads. It is an indispensable piece of kit for achieving a professional, safety-compliant plumbed-in system installation that will breeze through pre-event scrutineering.
Key Features:
- 14mm Precision Mounting Hole: Factory-stamped to match standard motorsport fire extinguisher misting nozzles from major brands like Lifeline, RRS, and Sparco perfectly.
- Formable Mild Steel Construction: Forged from high-quality, pliable mild steel, allowing car builders to bend, shape, or contour the tab cleanly without cracking the metal.
- Anti-Corrosion Zinc Plating: Treated with a heavy-duty zinc coating to defend the steel against aggressive under-bonnet fluids, weather, and cockpit condensation.
- Highly Adaptable Design: Arrives with an open-ended tab face that can be easily customized, welded, or drilled out to match existing rivet or bolt holes on your vehicle's chassis.
- Essential for Scrutineering: Provides the rigid, permanent nozzle alignment demanded by MSUK and FIA safety inspectors to guarantee effective fire knockdown.

1 x 14mm Zinc-Plated Mild Steel Nozzle Mounting Bracket
Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs):
- Will my Lifeline or RRS misting nozzles fit into this bracket?
- Yes. The vast majority of plumbing nozzles supplied with modern FIA-approved plumbed-in extinguisher kits use a standard M14 thread or locknut layout. This 14mm clearance hole is designed to accept those nozzles perfectly, allowing you to sandwich the bracket cleanly between the nozzle body and its retaining nut.
- Can I weld this bracket directly onto my roll cage?
- Yes, you can weld mild steel, but you must completely grind or sand off the silver zinc-plated coating from the weld area first. Welding directly over zinc plating creates highly toxic galvanizing fumes and leads to brittle, porous, and unsafe welds. Alternatively, simply drill a small mounting hole through the tab and bolt or pop-rivet it directly to a chassis panel.
- How easily can I bend this bracket to face a specific angle?
- Very easily. Because it is stamped from mild steel rather than brittle spring steel or aluminium, you can clamp the bracket into a standard bench vice and use a mallet or adjustable spanner to smoothly fold it to the exact angle needed to target your fuel rail, turbocharger, or cockpit footwell.
