The Victory Range of products have been designed for the Clubman race teams and drivers. These products have been produced since obp Motorsport begun and have been improved to work with the current demanding environments in Motorsport.
Designed for the professional and semi-professional teams and drivers, which can be universally mounted for any Motorsport application. The lightweight handbrake is manufactured with A Mild Steel Reinforced Fabricated Lever and a mild steel powder coated cradle which has a 57mm Bolting hole pattern for a master cylinder to be mounted on the rear through a 5/16″ Clevis Pin.
The handbrakes can be used with the majority of master cylinders on the market which feature a 57mm mounting hole distance and a 5/16″ Threaded push rod.
The Mild Steel Cradle base also features mounting holes to easily install a bias valve if needed.
This particular Twin Master Cylinder Set up allows 2 x Master Cylinders to be mounted to the same lever which enables you to have full control over the rear brakes independently.

Hydraulic Handbrake Installation & Use – Important Information
If a vehicle is fitted with a standard mechanical handbrake, this should be fully removed before installing a hydraulic handbrake system unless the vehicle is required to pass an MOT. A hydraulic handbrake is not intended for permanent parking use.
Mounting
Hydraulic handbrakes should be mounted to the strongest possible point on the vehicle, typically where the original handbrake was installed. These areas are usually double-skinned and provide the necessary rigidity.
Correct mounting is especially important for competition use, where the handbrake may be applied forcefully. Mounting to a single-skin panel or flexible surface can cause flex, reducing effectiveness and performance.
Plumbing
The hydraulic handbrake must be installed in-line between the main brake master cylinder and the rear brake callipers.
- For vehicles with a single rear brake line, a single-cylinder handbrake is used.
- For vehicles with dual rear brake lines, a twin-cylinder system is required, with one cylinder per rear circuit.
Brake lines should be routed:
- From the main brake master cylinder into the rear port of the handbrake cylinder
- From the front port of the cylinder onwards to the rear brakes
Thread sizes and port orientation may vary depending on the system used.
Bleeding
Bleeding the brake system after fitting a hydraulic handbrake follows the same procedure as a standard brake bleed. The handbrake cylinder stores hydraulic fluid to allow independent operation of the rear brakes and does not change the bleeding process.
Important Safety Notes
-
Hydraulic handbrakes are not designed to act as a parking brake, including lockable versions. Hydraulic pressure can reduce over time, which may allow the vehicle to move if parked using the handbrake alone.
-
Removal of a mechanical handbrake system is intended for competition vehicles only. Vehicles without a mechanical handbrake will fail an MOT.
