Oil Catch Tanks

Oil catch tanks collect and contain oil vapour from the crankcase breather system before it can enter the intake or vent to atmosphere. This helps keep the intake system clean, reduces carbon build-up and minimises the risk of oil contamination under hard driving conditions.

In many forms of motorsport, a catch tank is a scrutineering requirement, with breather systems required to discharge into a sealed container rather than onto the stage or circuit.
